Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 12, 2026
MES India ("we", "our", "us") operates the Logger mobile application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Email address and password (for authentication)
- Name, phone number, and profile photo
- Role, team, and manager assignment
Location Data
Location is accessed only while the App is open and actively in use (foreground access). The App does not access location in the background or when the App is closed.
- GPS coordinates for attendance check-in/check-out
- Location verification for facility visits (proximity check within 100 metres)
- Location data associated with field service activities
Device Information
To prevent unauthorized access and account sharing, each user account is bound to a single registered device:
- A unique device identifier (Android ID or iOS Vendor ID) is collected at first login and stored securely against your account
- On every subsequent login, the current device identifier is verified against the stored one; if there is a mismatch, the session is immediately terminated and you are signed out
- Developer Options status (Android only) is detected at login to prevent tampering and security bypass attempts
- To switch devices, your device binding must be reset by an authorized manager or administrator
Activity Data
- Attendance records (check-in/check-out times and locations)
- Service call and activity logs
- Expense records, descriptions, and receipt images
Files and Media
- Photos and documents uploaded as part of expense submissions or activity records
2. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate and manage your account
- To track attendance and verify your location at work sites
- To manage service calls, activities, and field operations
- To process and record expense submissions
- To enforce one-account-per-device security: binding your account to a single registered device and automatically signing out sessions on unrecognized devices
- To provide managers visibility into team activities
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may collect and process data:
- Firebase Authentication - for secure login (Google LLC)
- Cloud Firestore - for storing application data (Google LLC)
- Firebase Storage - for storing uploaded files (Google LLC)
- Google BigQuery - for customer data queries (Google LLC)
These services are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure cloud servers provided by Google Cloud Platform. We implement security measures including:
- Encrypted authentication via Firebase with token-based API access
- One-account-per-device binding: your account is locked to the device used at first login; login attempts from a different device are automatically rejected and the session is terminated
- Developer Options detection (Android) to prevent security bypass attempts
- All data transmitted over HTTPS encrypted connections
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your data is shared only with:
- Your assigned manager within the organization (for activity oversight)
- Third-party service providers listed above (for app functionality only)

- Internet - for syncing data with the server
9. Children's Privacy
This App is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
